A friend, who has a cat, installed a cat flap in a window  The window is 80cm off the ground The cat is now old and cannot access the flap so a litter tray has been put into use. Hubbie doesn't like the cat, so the tray just ain't welcome I've been asked to make some steps for said cat so she can reach the flap. Simple enough, but any idea what height the risers should be. What width of step Does it need a bannister rail Should it be anti slip What timber No I'm not kidding |

I would make the risers about the same height as in a normal staircase in a house. Cheers  Paul PS but check with your friend whether the cat can manage the staircase in the house - that way you can be sure whether it will be suitable. |

You gotta take the piss with this one mate and make a master peice ;D Bull nosed bottom tread and a nice curve to the strings , volute on the handrail and of course one string open .
