G'day, I picked up a piece of laburnum that someone had left on the side of the road - presumably for the garden waste collection. It is about 10inches in diameter and 1.5feet long. I know that it has been used for turning and the production of oyster veneers but are there any other uses for it e.g chisel handles, saw handles? Also how obnoxious/noxious is the dust? Have a good one. Cheers, Geoff.

Hi Geoffoz I am not sure how good it is going to be for handle of any kind as it does tend to split as I have worked on oyster chests and they always have split. I guess you can give it a go If I can find my book on wood , I will check for you
