I have some quite bad scratches on my prefinished cherry floor from moving my favorate chair over the years . I'm not to worried about getting the scratches out but i would like to seal them . I was thinking of wiping some linseed oil over the area but thought id ask here first . Any ideas ?

Hi Jason Do you know what type of finish is not it now e.g oil or varnish as I have some very good floor varnish that will do the job if it is a varnish finish Let me know if it will do

Yup its a varnish but wouldnt i have to sand the floor and maybe make it look worse to use that ?

what about johnson's klear, paul No It will be too shiney and you will see it from across the room Jason I will try to come down and see you with some and give it a try. I will bring my polish in kit too and see what I can do
