I just happen to have Wood Identification and Use by Terry Porter on loan from the library at the moment. ;D Apparently there are over 100 species of Albizia. The main one he lists is Albizia Lebbeck, common name (!!) Kokko. Also known as East Indian Walnut. Often confused with the mahoganies because of its colour and texture, but it is neither a true mahogany nor a true walnut. If there's anything specific you want to know just shout, but I'm not about to type up the whole page ... Dave

Think i will have to get that book 'Typical Uses: Furniture and Cabinetmaking, including office furniture, rustic furniture and kitchen cabinets; carving, interior joinery, flooring including parquet, boatbuilding. It is also sliced for decorative veneer.'
