Probably home-made pan scouse (a sort of hot pot) with suet crust and pickled red cabbage. Plain, West Lancashire fare, but hard to beat on a cold wet Pennine winter's day

It has made me hungry now For those of you who don't know : Ackee and saltfish is a traditional Jamaican dish. It is also Jamaica's National Dish. Salt cod is sautéed with ackee (boiled), onions, peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and may be garnished with crisp bacon and fresh tomatoes. Dom

Just had the first Conway mussels from the market. Mine would be moules mariniere - garlic, parsley, Muscadet, cooking wine for the mussels (a good excuse for having another bottle) Fresh bread - do my own in a panasonic - haven't bought bread once since I got the machine a year ago. Or moules et frites. Yeah. I'll get some more tomorrow. Also really cheap!

I think it would be a nice Chinese or Thai banquet hope they would be open on the last day ..... I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York the home of the 'Buffalo' wing and I owe many an extra pound (not £ ) around my waist to their spicy deep-fried tastiness. Can time it to produce loverly fresh loaf at crack of dawn and wake up to the aroma. Also very adaptable to other recipes for more exotic breads- multi seed, raisin etc or you can make just dough and then do it by hand. cheers Jacob

roast ham thick cut with the crackling, new potatoes, carrots and lashings of white sauce and parsley and FRESH garden peas
the parsley MUST be fresh.
english mustard with some ABSOLUTE conditions
Colmans, nothing else
It must be the powdered type.
It must be prepared 3/4 of an hour before serving the meal.
it must be mixed and left to stand for 20 minuites
then it must be put in the freezer for the remaining time
its my last meal
so........................................ i want some real beer
its got to be served in one glass at just below room temperature. It MUST be the following mix
one bottle of Green King St Edmunds Ale
and one bottle of Green King Suffolk
in the same glass
as its my choice, death arrives after the first swallow of the third glass

Senior, Dom, Lord Nibbo I feel like making a wise-a## response but I can't think of anything at the moment...let's see if something comes to me here's a little receipt for ya 'Buffalo style chicken wings' vegtable oil- heated to 375 deg. Fahrenheit 10 individually frozen chicken wings and/or leg pieces. 3 tablespoons of your favorite hot sauce (a common one is "Franks hot sauce") 2 tablespoons of liquid margarine or melted butter deepfry the wings and/or legs (put them into the oil frozen) till golden brown and cripy on the outside mix the hotsauce and liquid margarine (or melted butter) together and pour the sauce on the wings just after taking them out of the oil. Mix the wings and sauce around a bowl, to fully coat the wings and then serve. normally it is served with blue-cheeze dressing as a dipping sauce. I like BBQ sauce or ranch dressing. Well there you go so if you have never tried them now you have no excuse. Sparky
