I thought the whole site might be subtle p**s take but I'm not so sure. My mum used to put the sprouts on in November so 15 mins isn't too bad! To be honest and at the risk of seeming to be some sorta pervert - I like brussels ;D Faster boil, say 5 mins, jolly tasty sort of chestnutty flavour. Nice with bacon and fried mashed taters. Mine coming from my allotment - along with the frozen blackcurrants, redcurrants, rasberries. Some sloe gin on the way too.
cheers Jacob

You lucky so-and-so, my favourite fruits.
When my wife and I were courting( there's old fashioned for you) her mother used to make sloe gin, absolutely delicious.
Thinking about her, she was one of the nicest ladies I have ever known. She was a country girl(Cambridge) and had worked in the kitchens of a lord's house, so knew how to cook proper British food. There was always a pot of yeast fermenting in her kitchen. Sunday roasts were a treat and she used to prepare the sprouts just the way you do Jacob.

You just don't wanna know my wife's idea of Christmas dinner, Turkey with chillie sauce! Glad I'm vegetarian.

You just don't wanna know my wife's idea of Christmas dinner, Turkey with chillie sauce! Glad I'm vegetarian. I think my wife (Taiwanese) would go for that!! Anything with chillis on, she's there! However, she very happily let's me do all the cooking at Christmas, so it's traditional all the way! ;D Dave
