So how do i get normal almonds toasted . I have glanced at the toaster but thought better of it ;D I've not tried almonds but I can give you some tips on toasting pine nuts which may help. Heat the grill and place them on a baking tray. Place the tray under the grill. Do not watch them. If you watch them , they will never toast, trust me. The trick is to turn your back on them. Quick, mind, because once your back is turned they will toast in no time at all and be burnt just nanoseconds later. This is very important, because you only have three or four chances to get it right before your packet is empty and you have to go without. Hope this is useful, Dave

depending on how well you want them done, you can also do them in that funny thing called a frying pan put a little veggie oil in and slowly cook. you can also put honey in to sweeten them up a bit. thought do you know what gentle cooking is ;D paul

Apparently you can 'toast' them in the microwave too, maybe in a cup with a very little butter - I seem to recall, but I am no expert; and I spose it aint technically toasting them but it does mean you wont have to use your new fangled gas thingy ;D

Do them in a frying pan. Don't add oil.

When producing doughnuts I strongly recommend that you wait for them to cool before making the hole, actually just tepid is quite nice, erm, good, no correct.
