Nice of the builders to remove the tread protectors I would be tempted to chop their bloody feet off, I bet you were steaming when you spotted all that damage.

I do like that Dom I had a look at an old one that one wanted copied but did not know where to start The turns where longer and higher So said theyy should get someone that does it all the time. If I can find the pic's, I will post them.

Modernist: not a hope in hell. A straight flight yes. One of my chaps is a first class joiner he did all of the head scratching while the rest of us did the donkey work. That's how we work. there are four of us, plus casuals on big jobs. So depending on the type of project, there is one person in charge and the rest of us follow his instructions. I don't mind as it often takes the pressure off me
