Regarding the MR MDF , some of it is green and some brown with a green core . I assume from differant suppliers but what is better for painting ?

Silverman have changed to the green core, at least my local branch has, I prefer the solid green, far better for painting.

The Shakers made some pretty boxes, good looking chairs and spectacular built in cupboards. But they didn't have TVs - so I agree with Dom, the doors should be consistent with the very modern look of the whole unit.
Regards.

That looks good.
When the dust has settled are you going to share your spraying findings with us, or would that be too painful?

Not atall Nick , in fact thats the point of the forum isnt it . Spraying is very hard to get right and i have tried as some of you know on and off for a long time . I think on this one i have finally sussed it but it took 3 weeks longer than i thought it would . Then again that was alot to do with me wanting to get it right rather than that will do . Also when we delivered the units the transporting opened alot of cracks on the mitrelock joints I wasnt expecting this but i suppose they where so heavy that it was always going to happen . I'm not quite sure how to make them lighter and get a full mitrelock on the material but i do know i will be using the mitrelock for all of this kind of work .

Looks very nice Jason
Will you be pursuing the spraying? I have given up until I get the space for a dedicated spray booth and drying area.
Cheers
Tim

I think i'll keep spraying as i managed to get a good finish on these units . I've quoted to spray my next job which is three built in units and i also want to make myself the same style tv cabinet .
