Hey folks Just found this today. The other place has become a little sterile. Hobby for me - it would be self sustaining if I didn't keep buying wood. Now I just need a wave of mandolin mania to sweep the nation so I can drop IT Cheers Steve

Hello all, I am a hobbyist who has just started this year, so far I have got heavily into the machinery side of it maybe because i have spent my working life in the production side of engineering and don't have the patience to do things slowly. At present I work for a well snack food manufacturer which is a little different to what i'm used to and I seem to have this desire to produce/fabricate hence the woodworking machines, I stiil have lots to learn about techniques, machinery and of course safe working practices and hopefully this is the right place for it.
All the best Martin
