Many thanks to everyone for the compliments, I've enjoyed making it. Very smart ! How did you find the Walnut to work with ? i may have a few doors to make from it but having never worked with it i'd be interested to know . Maybe not as hard as oak as it is easy to dent if you drop a tool on it or bump it with anything. But it's a treat to plane as long as there are not to many knots the same can be said using chisels on it. The only one gripe or rather swmbo's is the colour of the saw/sanding dust, it leaves lovely brown footprints on the front room carpets. ;D Do I have to visit the palace to accept the honor? Cos I might have trouble kneeling with my old knees

You can chose your local admin/moderator workshop to accept the title , where you will have a custom made plinth to allow for your dodgy knees , once tipped with a pinch rod you will be allowed to put the kettle on ;D
So a bit like cherry then ?

Stunning LN, absolutely stunning !!! One question, how have the Mitered joints on your previous piece held up (drawer unit) now that it has been inside for a while ?? Cheers, Gazza.
